The Changing Face of Video Games

Video games have evolved into many things.

Some modern games now help you get physically active while others aren't as active. But then again, there are games that unite people around the world. So instead of being a shut in, you can now play with your friends. This proves that video games are beneficial for you in cases. For example, you would have to work as a team to complete mission objectives or defeat a boss, but now, you can do it without having friends over. Internet connectivity has help evolved games to the point where every user is connected to each other. You can even talk real time with voice chat, but some people still prefer to send messages.

But then again, there have been incidents that have shown where video games have been detrimental. Many peoples lives have ended because of some video games. For example, someone was killed because two teenagers decided to have a street race;. Another case could be how a police officer was killed on duty because a teenager was inspired by games. This does show that children are very influenced if they play games. But there are warnings. We have the ESRB in North America, while Japan has CERO.
So there isn't any reason why those cases should of happened. But then again, kids get their parents to buy games inappropriate for their kids. So this is the reason some kids are influenced.

So basically, when you become a parent, pay attention to the ratings system in your location. While video games have bad points,they have good points like providing contact with other people online.

Well, I guess video games are both good and bad.
