Google Street View

In my opinion, this technology is a very good idea. The people who came up with this are very intelligent. What Google Street View does is gives you a 360 degree angle of the area you are searching up. This kind of technology is good for people who have trouble memorizing intersections but have no trouble at all memorizing landmarks, buildings, among other things in the area, like myself. It is also good for showing people what they are looking for. For example, someone could be looking for a restaurant and Google Street View could show you the exterior of the restaurant so you would know what you are looking for.

In terms of the privacy issues, while Google is violating some issues of privacy, they have counteracted it. They have done so by blurring out faces and license plates. But still, people are complaining because they just happened to be in the area when the Google Van happened to also be there taking the pictures for this project. Google can't do this whole process again just because someone is whining because they were caught in a random picture. Google wouldn't have the power to keep everyone inside their houses while doing the whole picture capturing process again.

In the end, we now know that Google Street View is a good tool to help someone who is lost and is bad at memorizing intersections. It gives you a 360 degree angle of the place you are looking up. While it is a good tool, Google Street view has compromised the privacy of the people and angered them. All because they have happened to be captured while the cool Google Van was out getting the pictures and putting them together for this project.

So in the end, I think Google did something really helpful in the world, and people should stop whining about every single thing.
