Photo Manipulation in the Media

Some of these examples of using photoshop in the media are really ludicrous.

The first picture on the blog entry actually tricked me. I thought it was real for a second. But if you do look closely enough, you can tell that it's been tampered with. You can see how unrealistic it is, but without the original photo, most people would be duped. I also thought that the Jessica Simpson picture looked realistic. This does show photoshop's powers of image editing.

The sad thing is that the media tricks people into believing this lie. But the models who are actually doing something about it are the bravest. Some models are refusing to be photoshopped and are even modeling without makeup. At least something is being done and someone cares about the effect that they were having.
