I think that the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty is a good way to send out the message that everyone is beautiful in their own way. There are no bad points to it and every effect it has is for the better of the people the campaign is targeting.
I personally enjoy the Axe Effect Campaign. I say it is funny but also an effective campaign. I say this because I myself have fallen for this ploy because I use Axe products. So if anything, this campaign is just as successful as the Dove Campaign because they both got what they wanted done.
I think a parent company doesn't need to have all its controlled companies preaching the same message. If anything, the company would be focussing on making money in any way it can because that is what marketing is. So different marketing ploys could be used for different branches of a parent's child companies.
